Whodunnit?

The ABC Murders is a faithful recreation of the wonderfully rich and detailed worlds imagined by Agatha Christie in her legendary crime books. It combines all the mystery of point-and-click adventures like Broken Sword with the clever crime-based conundrums of Sherlock Holmes to create a fine addition to any collection. You play the part of the famous sleuth Hercule Poirot and find yourself caught up in a baffling case involving the notorious murderer known only as ABC. You'll travel the length and breadth of England, interviewing suspects and gathering clues in order to get one step closer to the killer's identity, with the more puzzles solved, the more clues you receive. The puzzles are a mix of styles, but you'll have to pay careful attention to everything around you, from the environment itself to the body language of those you're interrogating. There are a number of richly detailed locations to explore, all lovingly recreated faithfully from the period, while you can play through in a couple of different modes to add to the game's longevity. For any armchair sleuth, this is a top notch experience. It impresses right from the start with the lush visuals, which are packed with detail and make excellent use of color and shade to bring the period to life. The story itself is as gripping as it ever was, and will keep you hooked to the end, and you're going to have to keep your wits about you if you're going to solve the case. The entertainment is aided by the slick and intuitive control system and interface, so if you're looking for a good detective experience, this is for you.
