Dracula 5: The Blood Legacy is included in these packages:
Earlier installments of this series of adventure games, such as Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon, were fine and rather handsome additions to the genre and which provided plenty of spooky exploration and puzzle solving. However, like its immediate predecessor, Dracula 4: Shadow of the Dragon, this one is a bit of a let down, mainly due to its very short running time, which makes it feel like a wasted opportunity. It's worth playing number 4 in the series immediately before this one, as the story continues directly on from that one, and if you don't you're likely to find yourself a bit lost. The plot here continues the adventures of an art restorer as she returns to the US to unveil a portrait of the notorious vampire. However, the picture is stolen before the big event, thus setting in motion a dark and mysterious tale revolving around a shadowy organisation with ties to old Drac. The game itself is similar to its predecessors, being a 3D adventure where you explore, solve puzzles and get caught up in an undeniably fascinating story. In its favor, this game is certainly attractive and dripping in atmosphere, which helps to keep the player hooked in the narrative. However, its biggest issue is that it feels like a fraction of a bigger game, as it can be completed in just a few hours. Furthermore, some of the puzzles are a bit weak, being easy or unimaginative or which just don't fit into the story too well. It's a shame that these issues weren't corrected as there is the making of a great adventure here, and what we're left with is a fun, but decidedly average one instead.
