Not Everyone Would Enjoy It
F-15 Strike Eagle III is an air combat simulation game and is the third entry in the Strike Eagle series. Now here's a question for the aerial combat game fans: Which type is more fun? Simulation or arcade? Well, my personal answer is that the arcade type is way more fun. Games like Afterbuner are way more fun. Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate simulation games, but I'm not really a fan. Even more, I found this game to be quite good. It's not as fun as some arcade style aerial combat games, but as a simulation game, it is quite good. As you might guess, you pilot a F-15 jet in this game. The plane is equipped with a M61 Vulcan and both air to air and air to ground missiles, as well as free-fall and laser-guided bombs. You can get to play in three different locations: Iraq, Panama and Korea. The objectives of each mission is mostly about taking out both a primary and secondary target, while avoiding attacking the friendly ones. The game also rewards you with medals if you perform well enough in each mission. For its time, the game had awesome graphics, however some of the textures seem unfinished. Overall, F-15 Strike Eagle III as a simulation game is quite good, but not everyone would enjoy it. If you're a big fan of aerial combat simulation games, you might find it to be a great game.
