While the F1 racers are now on a five-week vacation, it's a good time to talk about some racing games that belong in the simulation series. While Codemasters continue to make great racing games, there is a little game that is most faithful to the golden age, in my opinion, of Formula 1 racing. The Grand Prix series is one of the greatest racing I have ever played. Microprose, the ones who brought us Transport Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon, have developed Grand Prix 3, which, in my opinion, is one of the best F1 racing games out there. While the game simulates the 1998 season of Formula 1, an add-on, known as Season 2000, has brought the game to the season of the year 2000. Besides the graphics which have been slightly improved, the roster is changed. So every pilot from the 2000 season are present in the add-on. Nothing else is much changed, so there's not much to comment. In conclusion, Grand Prix 3 Season 2000 is a nice add-on and whenever you stumble a copy of it, go ahead and download it.
