Save The Earth

Halloween Harry, also know as Alien Carnage, is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Sub Zero Software and distributed by Apogee. The game is a very godd action game, being a worthy opponent for Duke Nukem. The game features agent Halloween Harry, who has to save the world from aliens that want to take over control of Earth by turning its population into green-skinned zombies. Some of the enemies reference Aliens, Gremlins, and Elvis Presley. Harry is helped by controller Diane, who gives him information via a video link. The gameplay is like in Duke Nukem, running around killing aliens or zombies, but there are some differences. Whenever you kill an enemy, you get some money and you can use it to buy ammunition, which is mandatory. You have multiple weapons, my favorite beings the missile launcher and flamethrower. There are some hostages that need to be rescued in order to advance to the next level. A nice feature that I have found in the game is that you can save your progress through the use of terminal that you'll encounter in the game. The graphics and sound are all well done. Overall, Halloween Harry is a great side-scrolling action game for the DOS, with a decent storyline, nice graphics and sounds and great controls and gameplay.
