If you like both strategy and Norse mythology, this might be the perfect game for you. Set on the advanced version of the engine that powered the trading game Machiavelli the Prince, this turn based strategy game is perfect blend of myth, history and fantasy. The game sets you as the head of a Viking clan. In order to please the mighty Norse gods, you have to plunder and conquer all your enemies and be the single remaining power in the world. You have your Humans, the mighty Elves, the Dwarves and the barbarous Trolls. If you don't get the game, there is a quick tutorial scenario, and after that you are ready for some serious strategy playing. The game is very detailed and challenging, and the AI behaves accordingly and is very well written. The combat session is a lot like the ones in the famous strategy Heroes of Might and Magic, in a sideways perspective, only the number of units you control is unfortunately limited. Still, you will get your share of blood shedding and action. It is truly a shame that this game was overlooked when it came out in 1995 but I promise you that this is one of the most underrated and best strategy games in the history of gaming. Definitely recommended!

Was addicted to this game for years as a kid! Great for hot-seat play and an awesome "story" with all the quests from the viking gods. Gameplay similar to Master of Magic, Civilization etc. etc. You won't be disappointed if you're a vintage game lover.
