Anyone who likes their point-and-click adventures to be packed with a seriously silly sense of humor (think Monkey Island, Space Quest, or Simon the Sorcerer) should definitely consider checking out this entertaining little romp. It suffers from a little lack of polish, a result of its indie nature, but it makes up for it with some genuinely funny writing, clever puzzles and general sense of fun. The story is a deliciously bonkers one, starring a cast of dogs who become pirates in order to claim back a precious cargo which is stolen from them so that their captain can fulfill his dream of starting a circus. What follows is a traditionally-styled point-and-click adventure which also brings in a few modern touches to help new players from getting lost too much. These features include a quest bar so you can keep track of what you're supposed to be doing and a hint system in the form of a parrot. Additionally, the control system takes the classic "one-click-does-everything" approach, so all these elements combined make this a good choice for beginners to the genre. However, even veterans are likely to get plenty of fun here. The game's main selling point is probably its story and it really delivers in this respect as the writing is genuinely witty, and there are plenty of memorable characters. The puzzles too are generally well done, being fairly logical and without that sense of frustration that similar games often possess. There are a few rough spots in the presentation, but overall this is an entertaining adventure.
