Yee-hah!

If cowboy games like Red Dead Redemption are your bag, then you might be tempted to check out this little known Western offering. However, it's probably not a great idea to do so, as it wasn't very well supported at the time of its release and its multi-player only status means you're unlikely to find anyone still playing. The game is basically a variant on your typical team shooter game, only this time it's set in the Old West of the 19th century and is played out in third-person rather than first-person perspective. As with most other such games, you've got four classes to choose from, each with different skills and weapons that suit themselves to different play styles, with the four choices being gunslinger, trapper, blaster and deputy. There are only a handful of modes to play through, including one which involves grabbing gold and getting away with it, and another requiring players to control zones in sequence to deny them from the enemy. There's also not too many maps to try out, so you might get a little fed up seeing the same ones with regularity, which is another factor not in the game's favor. However, had the game been better supported, it's likely it would have been more popular. At its core, the gameplay is actually fast-paced and fun, with solid shooting mechanics that add up to an entertaining time. It's obviously a low budget affair but it still manages some decent visuals and design work, and its major shortcoming is simply the lack of content and current player support. As a result, it's a tough one to recommend.
