Lemmings 3 is computer game released in 1994, as the third game in the famous Lemmings puzzle game series developed by DMA Design. While not of my favorite puzzle games, Lemmings 3 succeeds in offering both fun and challenge. The storyline of the game continued where Lemmings 2 left off. Of the twelve tribes that escaped from Lemming Island, the adventures of three tribes are followed in this game; the Shadow tribe, the Classic tribe and the Egyptian tribe. Each tribe leaves the flying Ark they escaped on, and has found their own island to explore. Most of the gameplay remains the same, but with some tweaks. Now, the actions that you need to give to your lemmings is simplified, in a manner that there aren't so many actions to choose from. Works, like digging, can now be made in 8 directions, but cannot be done unless you pick up the boxes of those respective actions. Monsters have also been included, making this game more challenging. The graphics are improved, the sprites of the lemmings are now large and the level design is great. Overall, Lemmings 3 brings some tweaks in the gameplay and also brings new elements into play, making this game enjoyable and challenging at the same time.
