Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

A LOTR chapter to remember

This is certainly one epic game, based on the trilogy movie epic, Lord of the Rings. Reminds me a little bit of Peter Jackson's King Kong movie and it follows, that sort of epicness in the similar Peter Jackson style, which actually plays quite well in a video game. The game was made by already J.R.R Tolkien fans, which were particularly hired to work on programming the game. The plot also explores various aspects of The Hobbit books that were not used into the movie and immerses the player in the world of LOTR. So this is for fans of the books as well as the movie. The video game is relatively simple, easy to control and is aimed at a teenage to family audience and the game closely follows the plot of the movie. There were many different releases on various different consoles (Xbox, PS2), but they all are fairly similar in gameplay and graphics with the consoles toned down on the graphics. The cut scenes are long and amazing, very worth while playing just to watch the cut scenes in between the gameplay. For any Lord of the Ring fan this is a game to remember and went well to coincide with the release of the movie.
