A New Kind Of RPG

I have played a lot of great RPG's in my life, such as Dungeon Siege and Final Fantasy VIII, I have never imagined to play an RPG game like Might and Magic 3. When I first heard of the name, I mostly thought about the the Heroes of Might and Magic games, but Might and Magic is a totally different game. First of all, I haven't seen any kind of RPG seen from a first person perspective. This kind of camera angle reminds me of one of the Wizardry game. In Might and Magic 3, you lead a team of 5 people, each with different skills: one can be warrior, the other a wizard, the other a thief etc. One interesting thing to not about this group, is that you can have different races. My group was made up of 3 humans, an orc and what I believed to be a some sort of Night Elf. You roam around the world in search of items and treasure and stuff. As I said, you play from a first person perspective, which is a nice touch because in this way you kinda feel like being in the game. The animations on the animations on the enemies is outstanding, maybe them more threatening even if some of them look kind of goofy. I even like the changing expressions on your party members when they get hit.Unless you have the instruction manual or read up on the internet, figuring out some the gameplay aspects is a bit hard, due to the fact that this game is indeed complex. But if you get past that problem, the game is pure entertainment. In conclusion, any fans of fantasy games or just fantasy itself, Might and Magic 3 will put a smile on everyone who plays it.
