Modern 3D version of the classic fighter

The spirit of Street Fighter lives on and it does so in a graphic presentation that makes use of cell shading, of immersive 3D environments, though, for the most part you will still fight as if within a 2D brawler. A great option that the developers made was to keep to the original animation style that at times locked the fighters in different positions and poses for just a fraction of a second. But in this title it's not something that is demanded by technical limitations, it's just a nod to the way the first few games looked like. Other than that, the game is cursive and sports a large number of fighter characters, some classic and some new entries as well. Some hardcore fans of the Street Fighter series may be a little appalled by the graphics, which, although state of the art, manage to lose some of the edge of the originals. You can however choose to pick a water color theme, a cell shaded theme and a simpler, no thrills theme, to adjust the graphic range to your own tastes. Personally I found the game just as interesting as some older Street Fighter titles, but Street Fighter II Turbo still remains king, at least in my opinion, even is spite of the current 3D rendered lineup.
