Unleash the magic

What can be said about the mighty Skyrim that hasn't already been said before? Just in case you have been living under a rock for the last ten years and don't know what it's all about, this is one of the finest, most immersive RPGs ever made and if you have even the slightest interest in such things then you simply need to play this right now. This one takes place some 200 years after the epic events of its predecessor, Oblivion, and finds the land of Tamriel in turmoil thanks to assassinations, war and all sorts of other problems. You play the part of a seemingly innocuous prisoner who is awaiting execution for involvement with a coming rebellion but of course, you soon find there's more at work here and it's not long before you find yourself caught up in a truly epic tale of destiny and dragons. In gameplay terms, this is a classic open-world action RPG, with huge amounts of customization, options, exploration, combat and all sorts of other things to get lost in. Perhaps the game's biggest draw is its sheer immersiveness and once you start, you'll quickly find yourself sucked into the incredibly realized world. There's a real sense of freedom and once you get the idea that you can almost literally go anywhere you want, you'll be hooked. There's just so much to do and see here that it's easy to forget the main storyline and just caught up with wandering around and doing sidequests as they pop up. The combat is rich and satisfying while the visuals remain jaw-dropping so really, if you have even the slightest curiosity about this, you need it in your life.
