Plenty of cartoon fun
If you like the old Looney Toons style of cartoon, or a bit of Roger Rabbit, then Tiny and Big should be your next best friend. It's a fine slice of cartoon puzzling that manages to be both inventive and hilarious at the same time and which provides plenty of entertainment. Tiny is an inventor, who has rather unfortunately had his Grandpa's underwear stolen by Big (quite why is a a bit of a mystery) and who must now get them back. This involves venturing through a series of levels, which are all highly destructible and which can be shaped by Tiny's rather handy laser. Pretty much all of the rocks and walls of any level can be sliced in any direction and as much as you want, and they follow the laws of physics when they are cut apart, so by carefully hacking the right bits, you can open up a path through the level. Once a wall is cut, you can push or pull it with your grappling hook or rockets and which leads to all sorts of whackiness. Big himself sometimes shows up in a level to make your life trickier but the focus here is on solving the environmental puzzles and which provides a hefty dose of fun. Although it might sound a little dry on paper, in practice, Tiny and Big is a lot more interesting. The visual style harks back to the glory days of cartooning and packs a lot of personality into proceedings. The gameplay too is quite open, with many possible solutions to the puzzles and which provides some replay value. The main characters are highly appealing also so overall, this is a great piece of cartoon entertainment.
