Wing Commander 4: The Price of Freedom download

Why did the space dogfight genre died? Why haven't we seen game developers continue to make great space combat games? A better question: what happened to Origin Systems? This developer has brought us the most famous Wing Commander and Ultima series. Why haven't hey continued to make more Wing Commander, just like ActiVision has more and more Call of Duty games. I would love to see it restored at least, with awesome graphics and outstanding cutscenes. Well, Wing Commander 4 has appeared on my radar, but it felt most like the previous which was awesome. However, there are a few elements that prevents this game to drown in the BAD games category. First of all, MArk Hamill is back and is awesome as ever. Come to think of it, the whole acting in the game is great and never felt dull. The cutscenes themselves are so well done that you'd like to progress to see what would happen next. The gameplay, however, hasn't been tweaked and nothing new is here. The HUD, however, is disappointing. It's not ugly or anything, but c'mon! The previous game had way better HUD. The graphics aren't too special nor are the sounds. In conclusion, Wing Commander 4 could have been an awesome game, but the developers didn't give it the attention it needed to outshine its predecessor.
