Yie Ar Kung-Fu II (Non-PC game)

Definitely better than Yie Ar Kung-Fu the first
If the first game in the series Yie Ar Kung-Fu was too minimalist and too unpolished to be any inciting, with this second title, the series has shown more promise, a lot more polish and a knack for actual development and for actual getting things right. As such, Yie Ar Kung-Fu II is a totally playable 8 bit styled, jagged enough to show its age but with sufficient detail to offer you a good enough portion of play. Like with all of these games, it is still a left to right slow crawl while you beat on the endless enemies. The backgrounds have improved, though kitschy they might still remain. Not that Yie Ar Kung-Fu II is some extraordinary jewel, it is not, however, what it is, is a game that knows how to be sufficiently pertinent to be playable. I sure hoped that it would have been just a bit more lenient in terms of the controls, but it wasn't really. What it was, it was just so-so in that department. But you can play it, and even enjoy it, something that one could hardly stand by with the predecessor. Alternatively download Wild Streets which made lots more progress visually but recipe wise is the same deal.
