3D driving game with lots of problems

For a 92 released game, the brand of real 3D graphics that this one sports is by no means bad. However, underneath the graphical polish a lot of problems lurk. The game has a very broken steering system. If you use a keyboard you will run into situations where a button press will send your car too fast in one direction, at times, the same timed press will hardly move the vehicle. Not only that, but your competitors do not seem to be governed by the same rules that apply to your vehicle. They seem to already be poised to be ahead of you or behind you, and only if you exit the circuit, which is bound to happen a lot due to the broken controls, will the balance of the races shift. It is not very often that you will enjoy this game, but a few of the more straight circuits might not put you under the control stress. It might be that the game is best played with a steering wheel peripheral, I do not know, but anyway, with a keyboard, expect some troubles. I would suggest an early game in the Test Drive series, for a much more balanced overall feel, with relatively the same graphics.
