Compaq Grand Slam Cup

Sport 1992 Dos Dosbox Racket

Wimbledon, US Open and French Open in 3D

While playable and well produced, the thing that will mostly constitute the draw to this game is the way the 3D graphics look and feel like, the way they embrace this game. For all intents and purposes, this is an alright tennis game, the players are alright, the blend of actions that are executed automatically and the ones that take some time to complete is also well done. However, the game looks really interesting, with its early days 3D engine. Sure, it can get in the way, but, let's face it, you are not going to play this if you were looking for some highly realistic game. No, you're going to want to explore this one for its eccentricities, for the way it was built as much as for the gameplay. And, also, when things get considered in context of the evolution of the genre, there too you are going to find that Compaq Grand Slam Cup has a lot to offer. For instance, the game was sold as having very realistic (visually, photorealism wise) courts. Quite how that translates and how you're going to see them, it sure is a totally different matter, which is a collision interesting to explore. But for gameplay only, download International Tennis Open, less sophisticated, but more immediately playable.
