Eight Ball Deluxe

Simulation 1993 Dos Dosbox Amtex Pinball

Not as realistic as you would want to

Eight Ball Deluxe is a pinball simulator for all those that love the special effects of such games (colorful machines, the dynamic silver ball, flashing lights, the sound effects, the attractive visuals). I am sure I attracted your attention, but unfortunately, those effects are in low doses. Don't get fooled by the title, because it's not a pool game. Well, this game is like all arcade pinball simulators out there, but it differentiates from others because actually, it's the first one to simulate a real pinball machine. The graphics are very nice, and present the spirit and feeling of a playing field. But they are not that genuine, so the realistic aspect fairly misses. The gameplay allows up to four players to compete. There is nothing much to say about the controls because they are easy, and you have to press several buttons, without extra efforts. I am sure the pinball fans expect from a game like this that real feel and vibe when comes to playing this kind of game, but I advice them not to throw away their money on this. You should try another successful pinball simulator that can make you feel as a real player, living all that this experience offers. I am talking about Epic Pinball or another delightful pinball sim.

Pinball game like others

Developed by Amtex, many gamers thought that this was a pool game, when in fact it's a pinball game. In order to play the game, players have to click on the pinball table and then they are thrown in the game. Once you start shooting your first ball into play, it won't take long to find out that this game is not special at all. While the controls are fine (seriously, you only need like 2 or 3 buttons to play these kind of games), the physics and design of the table is quite bad that you'd rather stop playing. The balls bounces way to fast and there are a lot space in which you ball gets out of play, the average time of a turn is no longer than 2 minutes, which is dreadful. The developers should have taken lessons from better pinball games, like Epic Pinball...
