Terminator 2 - The Arcade Game

Disappointing

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (arcade game) is a light-gun shooter released in 1992, being developed and published by Midway, a company acknowledged for its games: Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, NFL Blitz or NBA Jam. Despite my admiration for the Terminator movies, this game didn't attract me at all, mostly because of the repetitive gameplay, which bored me very much. Everything in this game is poor: the design, controls, levels. The story is about the salvation of John Connor and his mother, from the T-1000, a Terminator with the objective to kill them. Basically, the whole gameplay consists in killing a bunch of endless terminators on the opposite side, and this is totally annoying and uninteresting due to the fact that all the levels are the same. The enemies come towards you and you have to shoot them with your infinite bullets. The game hasn't enough qualities and features to keep you playing it over and over again. Nothing is too exciting, neither the sounds effects, sure, your hear plenty of explosions and gunfire sound effects, and some music, but come on. Really? That's it? What a pity! For the sake of the successful movies of the same title, the producers should have struggled more. Don't buy it, unless it is the movie.
