Misadventures of Maddog Williams, the great inventor!

In The Adventures of Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian (nice alliteration, BTW!) you get to experience the day to day life of this mad inventor, Maddog (nice portmanteau, BTW!) who, because of his wit and restless nature needs to save the world from impending doom. Quite nice that a mad inventor type is not in the business of putting an end to all life, for a chance, which is what I think is a nice thing for this one game, but, at the very same time, it's a hard game to sink into. Parser games, sure, have a natural tendency to be harder to sink into, but not all of them. Unfortunately, The Adventures of Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian I a prime example of a parser done not too well, which is why you'll need to have a walkthrough around just to piece meal through it. Which kind of ruins the fun, because the puzzles rely a lot on bunny out of a hat mechanics and things of that nature, and getting to see that before it happens is, well, disappointing. Nope, I'd say, download Simon the Sorcerer this time, it's an adventure that is much more playable and also, it shares that world gone wrong story too.
