The Cameron Files: Pharaoh's Curse

Adventure 2002 Windows 1C Company Mystery Puzzle based

A journey worth living and playing

The Cameron Files: Pharaoh's Curse is a 2002 detective adventure game, being the sequel to The Cameron Files: Secret at Loch Ness. You play as Cameron, whose objective is to solve a case in a point-and-click interface whose action takes place in Egypt. The story involves the disappearance of the Pharaoh's mummy from a museum. This game tests your investigating skills and your sense for details and observation in a fun way. You have to solve the challenging puzzles, to interact with almost every character you see, because who knows, maybe or surely he is a suspect. I have noticed a lack of interactivity in the game, though, and also some boring moments and tasks you have to perform. The exploration of the surroundings and locations is very pleasant, due to the beautifully detailed and designed environment. Although some parts of the environment which are supposed to move are frozen, you will enjoy the general ambiance. The controls are easy to use, the gameplay is presentable, smooth, the cinematics are ok to watch, and it is a game that fits perfectly to the adventure rookies. The involvement of the actors is seen in the voice acting, which is pretty good and believable. Overall, this game is a journey that is worth living and playing.
