All Wizardry games from 1 to 8 packed togheter

This collection puts the entire collection of Wizardry games at your disposal, 1 to 8 (inclusive). Thus, if you want to get acquainted with a beloved series, this can be a really good way to do it. The games vary a lot in the way they look and the way you interact with. Though they all are RPGs, the series is very diverse in scope: In Wizardry 1 for instance you will be adventuring with stick figures letting your imagination run wild as to what these crude depictions might be or might be all about, while in the later titles, Wizardry 7 and 8 for instance, the graphics are quite evolved. So, in a way not only is the series exploration an exploration in how the particular series evolved but also in how technology evolved to allow such incredible increase in the quality of the graphics. What isn't as steady however is the quality of the stories told or of the gameplay delivered, a thing that is not necessarily true exclusively for this series; the development of technology is by no means a rule for the development of narratives or gameplay, and you'll see that also. Personally I find Wizardry 4 and 5 to be the better ones story wise, while 7 and 8 did not rile me as much. But maybe it's also a subjective appreciation. At any rate, the value of the bundle is exceptional overall, and if you can get your hands on it, it's a great way to experience it. Otherwise check and play the titles individually, as some of them are available on GOG (6 and 7 as a bundle and 8 standalone).
