Keen Must Die Not!
What game series from the DOS platform you have fond memories of? Anyone? No? Okay, maybe the DOS games aren't that great anymore, but it had a huge library of games and we had a lot of great games for our childhood. Until Windows came along and stole the whole show. By today's standards, DOS games are considered to be absolete, which isn't fare because there are some DOS games that are still fun to play, like Stunts or The Lost Vikings. But does anyone remember Commander Keen? It was developed by id Software, you know, the ones that brought us and still bring us Doom games. There were a lot of Commander Keen games for the DOS and sometimes think that Keen was the poster boy of the DOS era. Episode 3: Keen must die! is the third episoded in the Invasion of the Vorticons game. Here, Keen travels to the Vorticon homeworld in search of the mysterious Grand Intellect that has directed the Vorticons toward Earth. The game features the cities, parks, and suburbs of the Vorticons, and their women, children, pets, and mechanical toys make up the enemies. The gameplay is like in all the games in the series, so you can't expect something different. I have a minor complaint about some of the levels, because if you don't pay attention, you might trap yourself in a dead end and not even suicide can you save. The graphics and sound are all familiar and unataltered from previous games. Overall, Commander Keen 3, if you'd like, is one DOS game that you gotta try out!
