A Cute RTS

While there are a lot of games out there meant to entertain the masses, there are others that not only entertain, but educate as well. Age of Empires 2, for example, is a perfect game that not only offered you hours and hours of entertainment, but certainly has given you some history lessons. At least, I have learned something from this game and that is about the medieval ages. But here comes, Cultures, an RTS game that tries to do the same thing, but to appeal to a younger audience, due its cartoonish graphics. In terms of gameplay, it's a regular RTS game, where you build up your own town, or empire if you wish, train soldiers and battle against others. At first, I thought that I was gonna play a game similar to The Settlers, but it wasn't the case. There's even a diplomacy mechanic, where you declare was against others or become allies if you don't feel like becoming a warmonger. This game isn't as educational as Age of Empires, but is certainly fun. All in all, Cultures is a cute RTS and a decent one too. With some solid gameplay mechanics, the game is worth anyone's time.
