Curse of the Azure Bonds is a Dungeons and Dragons style role-playing game developed and published by SSI. This is one RPG that you could call both hardcore and oldschool. There are a lot of elements in the game that even a huge fan of RPG games can find it hard to let go of this game. Following the events from Pool of Radiance, the game is set in the Forgottem Realms, where the adventure starts in a city called Tilverton. You control a group of characters who are renown adventures and wake up in an inn with all of their possession stolen. The gameplay is relatively simple, but if you don't take notes of some variables in the game, you will soon be defeated in a breeze with zero warning. There are a lot of things to look after, like the characters' skills and equipment, which is typical in RPG games today. The graphics are quite good and makes full use of VGA graphics. The sounds are the beeps and bloops we have heard in countless other DOS games, but it's DOS so it's excusable. All in all, Curse of the Azure Bonds is an adventure that every gamer should dive into.
