Giving A Fantasy Theme
What do you get when you take the game Panzer General and give it a fantasy theme? You get Fantasy General! The game used the same structure as Panzer General, but with some modifications to the base system. The game offers two modes of play: campaign or playing a scenario. In the campaign mode, you're given a choice of four heroes and set off to defeat the evil Shadowlord, along with his four generals. Gameplay is similar like in Panzer General, however, some features have been removed, such as the great battle animations. There are four types of units available in the game: Mortal, Magical, Beast and Mechanical. Units are further divided into classes. The classes are Heavy Infantry, Light Infantry, Skirmishers, Cavalry, Light Cavalry, Archers, Bombardiers, Sky Hunters, Siege Engines, and Spell Casters. There are Mortal units available from grades 0 to 5 for every class. Other unit categories vary, though every category has Heavy Infantry, Cavalry, and Sky Hunter units available. The graphics of the game are quite good, but you've gotta love that medieval soundtrack. It's just so beautiful! Overall, Fantasy General is a great game, similar to Panzer General and is a personal recommendation to all gamers!
