Japan Scenery Disk

Simulation 1987 Dos subLOGIC Flight

Let's go to Japan!

If you have any of the following flight simulators, Flight Simulator 2, UFO, Jet and Stealth Mission, then this add-on disk is for you. Otherwise, there's nothing of interest here. As you might expect, Japan Scenery Disk adds in some oriental-themed scenery for armchair pilots to enjoy and if you're after a way to expand your favorite flight sim, there's a decent amount of content here. The disk includes plenty of Japan, from Tokyo to Osaka and which is recreated in pleasing detail. You can fly over impressively realistic versions of downtown Tokyo and Mount Fuji, or try and race past a speeding bullet train packed with tourists. Many of Japan's airports are included too, and which again feature a high level of detail, including the same towers as found in real life. There's a few other bits and bobs to explore too, while the game remains the same as whatever flight sim you're running it through, with similar controls and levels of realism and detail. As this isn't a game in itself, it's hard to recommend it to anyone but a dedicated fan of the aforementioned sims and if you're just looking for a flying game, then check one of those out, or for something more action-oriented, try Falcon or F19 - Stealth Fighter. However, if you are still flying in one of these titles, then this makes for an interesting way to add in some extra longevity. The visuals might not be up to the standard of modern games, but they are pleasing enough and there's certainly plenty of scenery to enjoy as you whiz around, so consider checking this out if you're a fan of one of the base games.
