It's A Pitty Now Owning

Lands of Lore 2: Guardians of Destiny is the critically acclaimed second installment in the Lands of Lore series. It is one of those game that brought drastic changes to gameplay style from its predecessor in favor of more action RPG elements. In my opinion, this change is quite welcome, even though we'd mostly expect the same style of gamplay in the second entry from a series. The plot follows Luther, Scotia's son, who is imprisoned by the soldiers of Gladstone and accused for being a member of the Dark Army. Luther is cursed to be morphed into either a monster or a lizard, thanks to which he manages to escape. While the Draracle guides him, Dawn and Bacatta (from the previous game) initially chase, and later aid him. Luther must go on his quest while avoiding his many pursuers. The game features what is known as the good and evil branches. These branches can lead to the different endings of the game. The player controls Luther on his quest to solve the curse. Randomly he will change forms, gaining the respective advantages (strength, or increased magical ability, and the opportunity to enter small spaces and discover secret areas). The power to change forms willingly is eventually bestowed upon the player in the game. The graphics are great for its time and the voice acting is top-notch. In conclusion, Lands of Lore 2 is a great game and it's a pitty not adding it to your game collection.
