Naval strategy, turn based, very minimal graphics
In The Lost Admiral you get the bare minimum in graphical elements, for a strategy game, but other than that, you can pretty much contend that the game is quite playable and at the very least very enjoyable. That is so because it builds everything very well, it offers you just as much in terms of elements you can control that you never get encumbered and, for the most part, you also get a pretty sleek and satisfying experience. So, with that in mind, The Lost Admiral is a pretty well done strategy. Yes, it's just a bit better looking than your average ASCII game, but that should not be a problem. Mainly because, a lot of it will happen at sea, and, well, you only need so many textures and so many gradients to make it look the way it needs to look. Other than that, in as little as 30 minutes you will have gotten to know all the controls, and even the finer details at its core. Replay value? Well, relatively high, depending on how much you'll love it. It's not a very sprawling tactical game, but it does its fair share. A good download alternative? The Lost Admiral Returns.
