Doesn't Feel Like 3D
Sensible Soccer 98 is part of the Sensible Soccer series developed by Sensible Software. It is the 3D version of the series, however, it is said that it bares little relation to the other games in the series, which I found to be total idiocracy. I have played earlier installments and I felt that this game plays and feels the same as the previous installments. Even though this game features 3D graphics, it is hard to tell because of the top-down view of the game. Only short replays of goals give clear indication of usage of 3D graphics. In terms of gameplay, the game feels and plays like any of the previous isntallments, at least that how I've felt: you pass and you shoot. The game features commentators and let me tell you, these are the lamest commentators of sports video game history. They barely say anything and when you do something, like. for example, for a simple pass, they say "Great pass" or something like that, which is lame and feels lazy. The graphics aren't too good, but I feel that the developers needed another perspective in order for us gamers to see the usage of 3D graphics. Overall, Sensible Soccer 98 isn't a bad game and whenever you hear a game critic saying that this game bares little relation to the other games, just play the game and tell him to SHUT UP!
