The Vikings Are Lost Again
The Lost Vikings 2 is one of the best platforming games in the on both console and DOS game libraries. The original Lost Vikings was great, but the second is way better. The game takes place after the events from The Lost Vikings, where we find our three brave heroes sailing on a viking fishing ship. But then, they get captured by Tomator again and the same thing continues again. However, they are teleported to another time period, just as in the first game, but this time in another period. Along the way, the vikings befriend a werewolf named Fang and a dragon named Scorch. From here, the game feels the same as its predecessor, but with some changes. The gameplay remains the same as in the prequel, with lots of puzzles to solve, however the locations differ, meaning that the game doesn't take place on Tomator's ship all the time. The original characters' abilities have been changed and the inclusion of two new characters is well done. In terms of graphics and sound, there are two versions: one with standard graphics and sound like in the prequel and a version with altered graphics and voice acting. While I like the voice acting in the second version, the graphics seem unappealing and sometimes disturbing, so I have to go with the first version. Overall, The Lost Vikings 2 is a solid, fun and humorous game and of the best in the genre. It's a must have and must play!
