Won after 22 years... finally!

Probably the most frustrating and tiresome game I ever played, but I can say I finally did finish all 16 of the game's levels after 22 years of trying. I see why the developers didn't have a save game feature (otherwise it would have been shelved in a week after purchase). Winning this game is like a lifetime achievement and that's what makes it a true classic and one of the all time greats!

Original cd/dvd version
If you did not find any online digital version to download or it's not working properly, you have the chance to buy Thexder from Amazon store and play it again.

What H.O.T.U. used to say about it:

Thexder is a solid PC conversion of Game Arts' hit in Japan, licensed to distribute in the US by Sierra. You control a robot ("mech") that is capable of switching from a 'mech into a jet at any time, wading through levels after levels of high-tech enemies. All the innovation, however, becomes tiresome quickly as you discover that there is no way to save in mid-level, and levels are *huge*. You also can't switch special weapons during a level, which means you'll need to avoid picking up power-ups you don't need in the midst of all the chaos. All this makes for a very difficult game that's fun only to the most expert and masochistic of gamers.
