The aged secret agent is still a menace!
I loved Splinter Cell 2: Pandora Tomorrow back in the day, on the classic Xbox. The game took the recipe of the original a step further, not by changing it completely but by adding new gadgetry and also by creating a more diverse space, levels wise. But the core elements, sneaking, cornering enemies when they're alone and unable to call for backup and other traits of infiltration gameplay were still there, not messed with or removed. Thus, you'll find this game very enjoyable if you like to calculate your interventions, not go head first in the action. There is also something interesting about Sam Fisher, the protagonist and its array of moves, which makes playing the game so much more enjoyable. Depending on the layout of each level, your number of actions can be very diverse, you can choose to shoot, to paralyze, to temporarily knock enemies off and also have a few other levels specific moves, such as hanging from the ceiling on a rope or beam and much more. I must admit I love the Splinter Cell series more than the Thief series for stealth gaming and I find it much more satisfying, and this is why I recommend it wholeheartedly.
