Annoying at times

Wolfenstein 3D: Spear of Destiny is an action game released in 1992 by FormGen, a company well-known for publishing notable productions such as Duke Nukem 3D. Well, this game was my first game with a first-person perspective. It is the sequel to Wolfenstein 3D, but the gameplay levels, the enemies and the environment textures are different. You play an agent named B.J. Blazkowicz, whose face gets injured in the screen if your health level decreases. The action takes place in the World War II, and your primary mission is to regain the Spear of destiny, that was taken by the Nazis. In every level, you have to kill a boss enemy, who is big, ugly, and very powerful. Well, not as powerful as you would expect, but they are a bit challenging, and facing them can be your motivation to continue playing. The weapons are pretty much the same as in the prequel, where you have to sneak behind the villains stabbing them with a knife or killing them with guns. The gameplay implies travelling through mazes while collecting useful items for health and ammo, and also treasures. Now let's talk about the general difficulty of the game. The most frustrating thing is the searching for the keys you have to use to open some doors, which can take a long time. Also, the aspect that makes it more annoying is the fact you will surely forget the door you have to unlock. And go search, search, search again! Spear of Destiny was the game of my first years of gaming, but it was bad enough to remember the main flaws.

How does it end?

I originally played the prototype of this game and truly enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately it was on a 1.44Mb floppy and I finally overwrote the program from the amount of playing and saving. I thought it was lost, to me, forever and yet here I see it again. For the period the graphics were very good and the action way first class. Is there any way I could download it now? I want to find out how it ends.

Original cd/dvd version
If you did not find any online digital version to download or it's not working properly, you have the chance to buy Wolfenstein 3D: Spear of Destiny from Amazon store and play it again.
