Tackling the jungle!
The original Frogger asked you to safely take the little helpless frog from one side of the road to the other, something lots of us did back in the day, with more or less success. But, although the game was without a doubt very satisfying, it could only be played for so long without becoming boring, and therefore, to keep the franchise going, this next installment had to come up with some novel idea. And, thankfully, it did! What this new game in the series brings as a novelty is a new set of challenges based on a jungle graphical theme. Yap, instead of evading cars, you now have to use logs on water to go from one side to the other, while avoiding the rapacious hippopotami, or the always hungry alligators. As you'd expect the game is just a hint more difficult than the original, but not so much as to turn you away. Also, the difficulty curve is very well implemented, which leaves you plenty of time to reacquaint yourself with the game. All in all, Frogger 2 is a nice addition to the classic Frogger universe, worth giving a try. Looking for sequels to great arcade games? Give Ms. Pac Man a run for her money, you'll sure enjoy it!
