Tactics play in the Wild, Wild West!

Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive and the Commandos series are brothers in arms when it comes to the recipe they deliver; they both create a sort of tactics, puzzle type of game, both use top down perspectives and both have enjoyable, likeable main characters. However, Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is set in the Wild West rather than in the backs of the enemy lines where the Commandos used to do their bidding. But, other than that the same kind of thinking is asked of you; you need to stay hidden, not get spotted by the enemy, you can stealth kill or you can go about as a full crazed warrior if you are fast and accurate enough, though, generally, careful preparation and using your entire crew has its advantages. Graphically, the game is all about golden and sandy colors, as it should be. The Wild west was this sun ridden, scorched earth, and that lends the game a very cool aura, which I really liked. Plus, it is quite diverse in its missions. For me, though, it didn't really have the same straightforwardness of design in terms of the puzzles; too many times it uses preset puzzle pieces, rather than allowing you to interact at your leisure, but that can be alright if you don't mind that kind of implementation. Though, don't get me wrong, it can feel just as great once you get caught in the action.
