Collection of skateboarding minigames

Hmm, I guess the later 80s had their own swag as well, giving you such ultimatums, hehe! But whatever, let's just pit that on the era and see if the game survived it, and if it was any good. Well, the game is not an accurate description, as this is a bundle packing 6 games, all dedicated to skating (as in skateboarding) in a number of urban and non urban series. There is the classic halfpipe game, the pool skating, the town landscape skating and a few variations of the basic gameplay model in these very spaces. The game looks its age and it manages to create a very sketchy atmosphere. On first look you'd think this game was released by some punk adolescents that didn't really have talent at doodling, but no, the game comes directly from the now behemoth Electronic Arts, but I guess they weren't the stuck ups they have become now, back then. Anyway, Skate or Die features solo games or you can go for the tournament, where you'll be competing against AI players. But, really, I think that you'll give this game away after one go. It's the clash between almost careless graphics and the controls which are awful. So, stay away! Want some really cool skating game? Try Tony Hawk's Underground 2 for a taste of real gameplay. Oldies have to be good too and Skate or Die I'm afraid is not!
