Chess and Terminator?! Oh, well, why not!
Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Chess Wars is a game that, graphically, is inspired by the eponymous movie, however, gameplay wise it creates a very unique kind of gameplay experience of chess. I mean, you might not see it at first, but it sure works. Because, in the Terminator universe, there is a war going on, a war that sees two factions, one human, one robotic. And so, within that context, within that battle, a balanced chess game feels totally appropriate. Thus, expect the rules of chess but with chess pieces inspired by that universe. So, you'll have mechanoids against DNA based organisms (humans!) and cool little animations that could melt the heart of any steam punk lover, especially the kind of lite weight steam punk of the Terminator series. Thus, in all honesty, you got to give it to Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Chess Wars, it knows how to dress a cool idea and to make it palatable as well as original. Yes, a Chess game with less bling can still work but well, Terminator chess can be sexy to. Oh, and also, because many have accused The Matrix creators of having stolen the machine versus human story from Terminator, here you go have a bit of a Matrix game too, just, you know, out of fan spite!
